I've recently viewed some videos that greatly inspire me to change my perception towards life!

There is only 1 life for all of us to live.

So ask yourself, whether you'd choose to lead a simple, carefree, happy life;

Everyone of us here is living in a borrowed life, nobody is immortal or live forever.

Hence, why make our life so unpleasant for ourselves?

I've realized that life is precious, and from now onwards, I should be grateful for everything in life, and appreciate my loved ones dearly, because who knows, if tomorrow never comes, I'd have regretted for not living my life to the fullest, and not being appreciative towards people who mean greatly to me.

So, go out there and do what you aspire, work hard and make your dreams come true, because if you don't try, you'll never know how great your achievements will be! Enjoy life to the fullest, and forget all your worries! Be amazed about the beauty of life!

One day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name.

Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of their classmates and write it down.

It took the remainder of the class period to finish their assignment, and as the students left the room, each one handed in the papers.

That Saturday, the teacher wrote down the name of each student on a separate sheet of paper, and listed what everyone else had said about that individual.

On Monday she gave each student his or her list. Before long, the entire class was smiling. 'Really?' she heard whispered. 'I never knew that I meant anything to anyone!' and, 'I didn't know others liked me so much,' were most of the comments.

No one ever mentioned those papers in class again. She never knew if they discussed them after class or with their parents, but it didn't matter. The exercise had accomplished its purpose. The students were happy with themselves and one another. That group of students moved on.

Several years later, one of the students was killed in Vietnam and his teacher attended the funeral of that special student. She had never seen a serviceman in a military coffin before. He looked so handsome, so mature.

The church was packed with his friends. One by one those who loved him took a last walk by the coffin. The teacher was the last one to bless the coffin.

As she stood there, one of the soldiers who acted as pallbearer came up to her. 'Were you Mark's math teacher?' he asked. She nodded: 'yes.' Then he said: 'Mark talked about you a lot.'

After the funeral, most of Mark's former classmates went together to a luncheon. Mark's mother and father were there, obviously waiting to speak with hi s teacher.

'We want to show you something,' his father said, taking a wallet out of his pocket 'They found this on Mark when he was killed. We thought you might recognize it.'

Opening the billfold, he carefully removed two worn pieces of notebook paper that had obviously been taped, folded and refolded many times. The teacher knew without looking that the papers were the ones on which she had listed all the good things each of Mark's classmates had said about him.

'Thank you so much for doing that,' Mark's mother said. 'As you can see, Mark treasured it.'

All of Mark's former classmates started to gather around. Charlie smiled rather sheepishly and said, 'I still have my list. It's in the top drawer of my desk at home.'

Chuck's wife said, 'Chuck asked me to put his in our wedding album.'

'I have mine too,' Marilyn said. 'It's in my diary'

Then Vicki, another classmate, reached into her pocketbook, took out her wallet and showed her worn and frazzled list to the group. 'I carry this with me at all times,' Vicki said and without batting an eyelash, she continued: 'I think we all saved our lists'

That's when the teacher finally sat down and cried. She cried for Mark and for all his friends who would never see him again.

The density of people in society is so thick that we forget that life will end one day. And we don't know when that one day will be.

So please, tell the people you love and care for, that they are special and important. Tell them, before it is too late.

The Mayonnaise Jar

When things in your life seem, Almost too much to handle,
When 24 Hours in a day is not enough,
Remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class
And had some items in front of him.
When the class began, wordlessly,
He picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar
And proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students, If the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured
them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly.
The pebbles rolled into the open Areas between the golf balls.

He then asked The students again
If the jar was full.. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand
And poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded
With an unanimous 'yes.'

The professor then produced Two cups of coffee from under the table
And poured the entire contents Into the jar, effectively
Filling the Empty space between the sand.
The students laughed.

'Now,' said the professor, As the laughter subsided,
'I want you to recognize that This jar represents your life.
The golf balls are the important things - God, family,
children, health, Friends, and Favorite passions –
Things that if everything else was lost
And only they remained, Your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter Like your job, house, and car.

The sand is everything else --
The small stuff.

'If you put the sand into the jar first,' He continued,
'there is no room for The pebbles or the golf balls.
The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time And energy on the small stuff,
You will never have room for The things that are
Important to you.

So...

Pay attention to the things That are critical to your happiness.
Play With your children.
Take time to get medical checkups.
Take your partner out to dinner.

There will always be time
To clean the house and fix the disposal.

'Take care of the golf balls first --
The things that really matter.
Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.'

One of the students raised her hand
And inquired what the coffee represented.

The professor smiled.
'I'm glad you asked'.

It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem,
there's always room for A couple of cups of coffee with a friend.'

A Russian woman married a Canadian gentleman and they lived happily ever after in Toronto . The poor lady was not very proficient in English, but did manage to communicate with her husband. The real problem arose whenever she had to shop for groceries.

One day, she went to the butcher and wanted to buy chicken legs. She didn't know how to put forward her request, so, in desperation, clucked like a chicken and lifted up her skirt to show her thighs. Her butcher got the message and gave her the chicken legs.

Next day she needed to get chicken breasts, again she didn't know how to say it, so she clucked like a chicken and unbuttoned her blouse to show the butcher her breasts. The butcher understood again and gave her some chicken breasts.

On the 3rd day, the poor lady needed to buy sausages. Unable to find a way to communicate this, she brought her husband to the store...

A reasonable review on Resident Evil: Afterlife:

"The movie was pretty damn good and had some surprises, but due to the thin plot and some weird decisions it didn't quite live up to my expectations...

First of all, I must warn you: If you're expecting Apocalypse all over again, don't! When I first saw the trailers I was looking forward to Apocalypse (which is still my favorite part) on steroids and ended getting a movie with much less super powered characters and Matrix action. If you think realistically, it was a smart move to make the RE movies more survival horror again, but I'm a huge action movie fan and expected more action and crazy stunts from this 3D movie:/... There's still plenty of action, don't get me wrong, but you can clearly see that most of the 60 million dollar budget was spent on the first and last big fight and influenced the script a lot. The special effects are veeeeeeeeeeeeery good, but frankly if you've seen the trailers and clips, you've seen it all... I would have loved to see more action like there was in the first 15 minutes or so. They kinda wiped all the sci-fi away and we were left with a not so scary survival horror movie with great backgrounds and effects and slightly above average action scenes. And you'll be shocked to see what they did to poor Alice to make her ''more human'' :rolleyes:... But all that aside, the plot is fairly simple, kinda like a RE game back in the days when graphics and character voicing weren't that developed, so they had to keep a simple story. So you could say that this movie truly is the best RE game port to the movies, but it's kinda not enough for the big screen movies when you only look at the plot itself... But hey, we've seen much worse! The acting wasn't anything special either, but frankly you can't expect more from a survival horror... Still, the actors do deliver... Especially Milla, oh I love her so much!:D And many may say they don't like the soundtrack, I love it! It packs so much adrenaline or a sense of no hope... I'm interested to see what they'll do in the next one cause this one is clearly just and introduction to something new and doesn't bring a lot of story with it, plus they've really brewed some stuff together that I have no idea how the characters are going to get away after from, you'll understand me once you see the ''ending''XD... To conclude, you should go watch this movie, but don't expect it to be like in the trailer or in the first 15 minutes... I'd still like to comment on some decisions in the movie that I find questionable, but I'd start posting spoilers then, so no... "

Well, if you ask me, i'll say the first three are much better, the fourth one? I'll say it's kinda disappointing and this review suits my description more:

Matinée Madness! Resident Evil Afterlife, okay so this movie had been hyped up for years ever since the success of RE: Extinction, which ended roughly with a cliffhanger, we all knew Alice was going to come back to wage war with the Umbrella Company, stating she was "Bringing a few of her friends". We all knew Wesker had to be the villain in the next movie, we even knew that Ali Larter was going to return as Claire Redfield...what we didn't know was that this MOVIE was going to be shot in 3D! Using the same fusion camera system that James Cameron used in AVATAR, everybody probably figured "Hey, this movie's going to be awesome, it's shot in 3D!" Well sorry to disappoint folks, BUT that's all this movie has going for it!!! Now I'm a big fan of RE, I played the 1,2, Code Veronica, 4th, and half of the 3rd game. I knew what to expect when I went in to see this movie, Zombie's getting their asses blown away by gorgeous babes (or Chris Redfield and Leon Kennedy). Knowing this and seeing the incredibly awesome trailer I went in hoping to witness the greatest RE Movie ever! Instead this was what I got: Milla Jovovich as NEO (or the ONE in case you didn't watch "The Matrix"), Blasting her way through hundreds of soldiers, undead zombies, and mutated dogs....just to go on a cruise ship?! Okay some of that sounded a bit harsh, but that's the plot in a nutshell. I'm serious, there's nothing much else in between except for some poor acting, laughable dialog, and useless freeze-frames(Done just for the 3D aspect of the film). Look, let me tell you something I was looking forward to seeing this movie, so much so, I even watched scenes from the RE5 video game on you-tube just to get in the feel of things, and you know what? When the movie was finished and I walked out those theater doors, I found myself cursing the NAME Paul W.S. Anderson!(The guy is one of my favorite directors of all time! This guy brought us Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil 1, Death Race, and Event Horizon, Come On Paul!) In this film he was just lazy. The only thing the director wanted to concentrate on was the action scenes and the whole 3D hype, and like the first three movies there were only some references made by the video games: The Zombies being one, Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine, Carlos Olivera, and even monsters such as The Licker, Nemisis, and The Tyrant have come into play, but the plots are just not the same. Instead we follow this Character Alice, who is NOT in the games whatsoever! So in this film we got Chris Redfield, Albert Wesker, and the monster everybody was looking forward to..."The Executioner!" (Big Applause!) to appear in this one. Chris Redfield portrayed by Wentworth Miller really had no purpose in this movie except to just to be in it so fans of the game can say "Hey It's Chris!...Bout Time!" I won't go into the acting Wentworth Miller put into his character, because there isn't any, but I can tell you this, The man can sure hold his breath forever. There is a scene in here, among countless others, where Chris and so and so have to go under water and hold their breath for about 5-10 minutes, and then they come out of the water guns blazing! I found this to be somewhat laughable, If I had to swim underwater and hold my breath for ten minutes, I would die no joke.

Also Shawn Roberts who portrayed Albert Wesker in this film had only 2 cameos in this film, TWO! The Beginning and the End, His character is so card-board thin you could practically cut him in half with a box cutter. So Albert Wesker the bad ass who always wears sunglasses, had this awesome fight scene with Claire, Chris, and Alice taking him on all at once, and it's the EXACT same fight scene they showed in RE5, exactly the same! Here they had an opportunity to do so much more with this fight scene and instead they (as in Paul W.S. Anderson) chose to copy it right out of the game? STUPID! Also Wesker's Demise was so F**King dumb I found myself saying "Seriously!?....that's it!?" Needless to say, I found myself saying that exact line when Chris and Claire reunited. I wished there were more scenes between the two characters because they are really close in the game (Brother and Sister duh!) but in here they didn't have much screen time together.

Now onto the 3D aspect of the film, as I stated above the only thing this movie had going for it was the 3D, and if you have to watch it, watch it specifically in 3D. I mean we got artillery shells flying at you, Axes heaved out of frame, shattered glass exploding everywhere, even the tentacles from the zombie's faces come out at you. This is what the director envisioned when he thought of the 4th RE movie. I mean most of these scenes are great, the battle between Claire, Alice, and The Executioner should ONLY be seen in 3D. Yeah sure there are some action sequences taken out of the Matrix, but hey it's in 3D right? The Matrix isn't even in 3D and yet I found myself enjoying every moment of on-screen violence, no matter how ripped off it maybe.

My Rating as it may be stands at a Very High Rental, or 5 stars (The 3D aspect making all 5 stars or this film watchable). My sympathy goes out to all the RE fans out there hoping and wishing this was a great film, we're all going to have to wait sadly for the next movie, OH and there is going to be another movie...(cliffhanger!) so let's all cross our fingers and hope they make this one BETTER. "

Geminid Meteor Shower!

the first and also the second time I've ever seen meteors falling from the skies!

The first was the leonid meteor shower,

which disappointed me much

as I only managed to see one meteor.

However, the second time which took place just recently,

was the Geminid Meteor Shower.

It was totally awesome!!!

10 meteors for the first night,
i.e. 13th Dec 09 12am - 2am,

34 meteors for the second night,

i.e. 14th Dec 12am - 2am ; 2am - 4am

and 3 meteors for the third night as it was cloudy,

i.e. 15th Dec from 12 - 215am

The experience of lying on the jogging track,

with a pillow with newspapers below,

and a blanket to minimise mosquito bites,

gazing into the dark skies,

waiting patiently for meteors

to appear...

Albeit each's appearance only lasted for a few miniseconds,

it was simply thrilling and fantastic
to wish upon a shooting star!

I managed to make around 10 wishes
for me and my family,

and helped a few god sisters' and
those whom I care
wish too!

Hopefully, most wishes will come true in the near future...

And yes, from this moment onwards,
my hobby is officially, none other than
meteor gazing !

A touching story.
One day a person decided to quit...
He quit his job, his relationship, his spirituality...infact he wanted to quit his life.

He went to the woods to have one last talk with God.

"God", he asked, "Can you give me one good reason

Compassionate Leave

1. This is no excuse for missing work. There is nothing you can do for dead friends, relatives or co-workers. Every effort should be made to have non-employees attend to the arrangements.

Toilet Use

Rock Climbing

Went rock climbing last saturday after our mid term exam,
did a few pre-trials by climbing the basic one for around 4 times.

Then, the burning desire of my heart kept me pushing on,
but to my disappointment, my arms were numb,
couldn't muster any energy from them,
so I struggled pretty much, inching my way up,
as I wouldn't wanna give up, cos Karen made it.
LOL! I wouldn't wanna lose to a girl, right?

2.大学可能有真实的爱情，但只是可能。很多时候他们是因为别人都谈恋爱而羡慕或者别的原因而在一起。

3.你在大学有很多意外用钱的地方。为了你的家人和你自己的前途，永远别乱花钱。

4.你大学的朋友很可能就是你将来事业的一部分。他们会帮助你。但是你也应该让自己有能够帮助他们的实力，所以，你要努力。

5.很多事情当你再回忆时会发现其实没什么。所以，不管你当时多么生气愤怒或者别的，都告诉自己不必这样。

6.学习，永远不要忘记。如果你学习失败了，你就什么也不是，当然，也不排除意外，但问题是，你会是那个意外吗？

Are you free next Tuesday (21st July) at 9pm? If you are, why not come to our Institutes of Engineering Malaysia, (IEM) AGM?
FREE refreshments and experience to chair a meeting!
The AGM of will be opened for all, no matter which faculties you belong from, be it members or non-members of IEM.Pls take this opportunity to come along or invite any friends, maybe listen about the brief introduction of IEM or some USEFUL TIPS about getting employed after graduation.

Here’s the beneficial part, if you join IEM, you have higher chances of being employed upon graduation because IEM is under the Commonwealth Engineers Council. You’ll be one step ahead of other engineering graduates for you are already an IEM member in MMU now. Membership of IEM in MMU branch is FREE whereas in public, the membership easily costs up to RM20. IEEE and IET (which are another 2 engineering chapters in MMU) have RM75 and RM80 annual membership fees. As I was told, IEM is among one of the 3 chapters of ENGSOC (Engineering Society) in MMU, especially for engineering students.
About the activities held, IEEE, IET and IEM mostly collaborate with one another.
Engineering students in MMU are encouraged to join 1 engineering chapter, so which will you choose?

For pals from other faculties, you are certainly most welcomed to join IEM for it is an ‘everything to gain but nothing to lose’ society. After all, the membership is free. Whenever you feel free, you can participate in our activities or maybe getaway trips to MMU Malacca, Singapore, Australia, etc. For your information, we just went to MMU Malacca for RoboCon Challenge Week this past Saturday.

Updating my blog currently
at Multimedia University...

For the last whole week,
we freshies were having our orientation week
and it was like damn packed and tiring..
And finally Friday did come,
we managed to put an end to this orientation
and settled down at our hostel...

When I first registered here,
I really felt uneasy
and I started to worry.
Simultaneously, I felt sorry and guilty
for Mum and Dad,
I just couldn't help it.

They have to pay for my studies here,
food, accomodation, fees,
everything here is typically
'no money no talk'...

I felt so helpless,
was the results a blessing in disguise
which 'blessed' me with no scholarships,
no jpa, no MMU chancellor scholarship...??

Then, there were the sessions
in orientation where the MC reminded us
about our parents carrying our luggages
and sending us all the way here to MMU,
I couldn't help but be emotional...
Undoubtedly, I think I've changed alot
by being independent, responsible
and emotional as well...

Well, life should be carried on...
Why be negative
when there's a positive outcome
out of everything?

Be strong, cheer up,
live life to the fullest,
be the happy-go-lucky
Allan I used to be.

I promise to study hard,
and make my parents proud

Ah Lek was asked to make a sentence
using 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,10.
Not only did he do it 1 to 10,
he did it again from 10 back to 1!
This is what he came up with.....

1 day, I go 2 climb a 3 outside a house to peep. But the couple saw me, so I panic and 4 down. The man rushed out and wanted to 5 with me. I ran until I fell 6 and threw up. So I go into 7-eleven and grabbed some 8 to throw at him. Then I took a 9 and try to stab at him. 10 God he run away.

Students would be able to obtain the results after 10am from their respective schools, said Education director-general Datuk Alimuddin Mohd Dom.

Just back from NS and
results are OUT tomorrow..
Ahhh... kinda nervous!
Albeit i'm going for telecommunications engineering in MMU
either in Cyberjaya / Malacca,
I still hope to excel in spm,

Life at National Service

Reported at NS camp @
White Resort, Balik Pulau.
Went into squadron Sukhoi.
Glad to have understanding,
hilarious roommates in my Dorm.

It was day 2 when I got my hair shaved.
That was when the Butterworth, Kedah & Ipoh batches reported in.
Members from my squadron increased till 69 plus minus those who
were sent back due to medical history.

Jurulatih-s started introducing themselves,
sad to say,
their perut all
BUNCIT-BUNCIT belaka!
Haiz, what a bad example.
Well, it was kinda expected though
as most of them
scooped alot of rice &
ended up unfinished.
Memang disgusted at
their indifferent attitude,
leaving the leftovers
especially rice at the sink
after they wash their trays.
And oh yea, forgotten to mention,
6 meals - More or less
eat sleep eat sleep eat sleep
without any vigorous activities.
Breakfast, tea break;
Lunch, tea break;
Dinner, supper... Ishk!
Farm your belly at NS indeed =.="

There were Character Building classes
meant for primary kids,
drilling sessions which were appalling!
Our first assignment - Kontrak Kita Janji
which we secured Runner Up,
7 points behind Hornet.

When I first enrolled for NS,
I had indeed fallen for a girl from Hornet
at first sight...
We get to know each other
through module 1 Character Building lessons.
However, after module 2 when she gets
separated into another group,
we stopped meeting each other
for quite some time...

Things turned out worse
when I found out from her
that she was avoiding me on purpose.
She replied to me after I wrote to her,
and that night, I shed my first tears
in year 2009.
The next day, I had sore throat
and high fever
Cos I breathed through my mouth
as my nasal airway was blocked after
the tears.
The air was obviously very dirty and damp!
Adding to the fact that I ate loads of
mandarin oranges...
Coughing badly as well..

One day before going back for CNY break,
I was among the early birds to receive an ang pow
before CNY.
Fell onto the tarred ground,
my legs somehow crossed
when I started to sprint
during jasmani session.
Had a bad cut, nasty wound right above my elbow.
It wasn't embarrassing though
as I was back on my feet
after pushing both my hands on the ground and launched airborne,
somehow performing so-called
breakdance move or whatsoever.
Zzzz.
My teammates were praising me
but I retired to the Medic for the 2nd time
to have my wound treated.

Before going back for CNY break,
I managed to talk to her once more.
She apologised and I too apologised...
Whatsoever, I don't think I'm interested
in knowing her more
after the way she treats me..
Disappointment and remorse?
Yeah..!

Let bygones be bygones...
NS wasn't as interesting as
what I've expected earlier.
My eagerness was turned down by routined, dull activities.
Hopefully, after the CNY break,
lessons would be much practical.
Can't wait for water sports, abseiling, teambuilding events,
obstacle course, having M16 rifle range practises and etcetera.
Leaving for NS on 1st Feb by noon.
